Yesterday, U.S. Senator Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) traveled to Guymon and Boise City for his first day of official state visits as a United States Senator.

Mullin began his inaugural trip alongside Guymon mayor Kim Peterson, visiting with local residents and city officials at a community lunch before heading to Boise City for a town meeting. Mullin concluded his visit back in Guymon, touring the Seaboard Pork Processing Plant and meeting with students and faculty at Panhandle State University.

“I’m proud to be in Guymon and Boise City to kickoff my first state tour as a United States Senator,” said Senator Mullin. “Representing the entire state is an honor and a privilege, and it’s a responsibility that I do not take lightly. Growing up in Westville, I know how important rural communities are to feed and fuel our state, and power our economy. That’s why I felt it was so important to begin my tour in the panhandle and hear directly from rural Oklahomans about their top concerns. I’m grateful to all of the residents who took the time to meet with me today.”

Today, Senator Mullin will continue his Western Oklahoma tour in Beaver, Laverne, Shattuck, and Woodward before giving remarks at the FISTA ribbon cutting in Lawton on Thursday afternoon.
